16% of Realtors carry concealed handguns for protection

Survey on gun ownership

Being a real estate agent often means having to go to strange places and sometimes meeting strange people on your own.  It is understandable that these agents are concerned for their safety, particularly the women.  A new survey by the National Association of Realtors finds that 16% of Real estate agents carry concealed handguns for their protection.  Male real estate agents are slightly more than twice as likely as females to carry a concealed handgun.  44% of agents take proactive measures to protect their personal safety.
