The other suspect remains on the run, and police say they are still in the initial stages of the investigation so they aren’t releasing many details at this time.
A witness told News 2 the victim drove a woman to the Madison Manor Apartments when the attempted robbery happened.
The man was reportedly able to grab his gun and shoot one of the men. . . .

Kevin Jones owns Gucci, the dog who was shot. He also drives a white Cadillac Escalade that the repo man had shown up to repossess. According to that repo man, Jones unleashed his dog on him.
“Big ass dog – 90 pound Staffordshire pitbull – tore after me,” he said.
He did not give us his name and he also wore a bandana over his face during the interview as he sat in his truck. . . .
With Jones in custody, the repo man returned for the Cadillac with a police escort. He told FOX 2’s Amy Lange that he unleashed the dog on him and gave an attack command.
“I was attacked by a dog. He sent his out dog on me,” he said. “He opened the door and said, ‘get him’.” . . .

Witnesses told police that the suspect came up and tried to rob two men near McLemore Avenue and Walk Place.
The suspect fired shots, killing one 24-year-old victim, but another man pulled out his own gun and fired back.
The 18-year-old suspect was struck at least once and taken to the Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
He’ll likely face first-degree murder charges once he’s released from the hospital. . . .

According to the Sheriff’s Office, two masked men attempted to rob the Pizza Hut at 3251 17th St. at about 11:30 p.m. One of the employees reported that he drew his lawfully carried firearm after one of the robbers pointed a gun at him. The 22-year-old employee, who said he feared for his life, fired three times at the robber before taking cover. The robbers fled, leaving a firearm and blood behind. . . .
The three men, driver David Welch, 18, of Sarasota, Henry Morley, 20, of Sarasota and Deshawn Reid, 23, of Sarasota, are charged with armed robbery. Each admitted to being involved in the crime, according to the Sheriff’s Office. . . .

The suspect 26-year-old Steffon Tolver is no stranger to the court system.
In 2011 he pleaded guilty to first- degree robbery and was sentence to 15 years in prison, now this strike was his last. . . .
After two church employees were robbed on church grounds resulting in the death of the burglar.
“He completed one robbery in which he received roughly $50 dollars and proceeded to try to rob someone else and the second person had a handgun and shot the suspect while he was in his office,” said LT. Brian Smith.
It happened around 10:30 Sunday night. . . .
“In a church or not wherever you are you have the chance to defend yourself in your home you have certain additional rights,” said LT. Brian Smith. . . .

The incident happened at 12:19 a.m. at a home in the 200 block of Rosine St., according to a statement from the Beaumont Police Department.
Two men were sitting on a front porch when an armed man walked up and attempted to rob them, the statement said.
Police were not sure if the suspect was hit in the exchange of gunfire. . . .

. . . Police say the incident happened just before 10 p.m. at Lookaway Drive and Shepley Boulevard in St. Louis. According to police, a 56-year-old man discovered a 35-year-old man attempting to steal the victim’s car.
The suspect then lunged at the victim with a box cutter, but the victim shot the suspect in the leg in self-defense. The suspect was taken to a local hospital, and is listed in stable condition. The car’s owner was not hurt. . . .
