CPRC’s website gets more traffic in US than Everytown, Brady Campaign, GOA, and many others

May 4, 2017 | Featured

The CPRC budget might be a tiny fraction of the budgets for groups such as Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, the Brady Campaign, and Gun Owners of America, but our research is getting more attention, at least as measured by website traffic in the US (Alexa rankings can be found here).  While our website has a rank of 48,782 for the US, amazingly Everytown was only at 63,405 despite an annual budget of around $50 million and the massively favorable news coverage they receive.  However, over the entire world, Everytown is generating more interest that the CPRC, though we still are ahead of the Brady Campaign and Gun Owners of America.  The CPRC also out does Americans for Responsible Solutions (118,847), the Second Amendment Foundation (326,730), National Shooting Sports Foundation (69,856), Keep and Bear Arms (124,644), and the US Concealed Carry Association (8,941,650 Global only).  However, while we are ranked 48,782 in the US, the NRA is ranked at 17,532, though our budget is obviously just a tiny fraction of theirs.

Over the last two weeks, we have had 81,565 unique users, and they have had 111,688 page views.  About 82% of our visitors are from the US.

Who are the people who go to our website?  Our readers are relatively young. with 61% under age 35, and we are able to reach both men and women.

The results using Alexa are shown below.

The Washington Post doesn't really want to give President Trump credit for the drop in crime in DC. Please look at the graph above and notice that there was a discrete change in August and September 2025 (and the change only started about half way through August on...
