John Lott talked to Jim Bohannon about the new law in Texas to allow open carry of guns for law-abiding citizens. Information on how the president’s executive actions on guns will have a real negative impact on law-abiding people’s ability to be able to defend themselves and loved ones. Veterans who have sacrificed so much to protect us through their military service are already being denied their 2nd amendment rights simply because they have someone else who is in control of their finances.

John Lott talked to Jim Bohannon about President Obama’s new executive orders on guns. If you are on social security and you have someone else handling your finances then you may considered mentally defective and your name can be entered into the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. Smart Gun technology is not reliable because of signal jamming technology and finger print readers cannot be trusted as the recoil shock of firing the gun can damage the electronics. Mental health experts will have complete discretion to turn a person’s name over so they cannot buy a gun. This could have a chilling effect causing people to no longer seek help when they may need it.
