Dr. Lott please stop calling it a “buyback”! Unless the retailer, wholesaler or manufacturer is purchasing the gun, it is a *confiscation*, with what is likely nominal compensation, at least in any country other than the U.S. (I’m assuming the Takings Clause would be implicated here).
