Fox News on our research: “Concealed carry permit holders less reckless behind wheel than other drivers, study says”

Fox News has a news story on our recent research showing that concealed handgun permit holders are less reckless drivers than others.

Gun owners with concealed carry permits are less likely to drive recklessly than other drivers, according to an analysis released Monday.

The Crime Prevention Research Center, a gun advocacy research group, said that data from Michigan shows that drivers without concealed carry permits were 12.2 times more likely to violate the law.

Background checks are required for so many things from getting a job to buying a gun. But despite legitimate concerns about voting by illegal aliens and felons, Democrats become outraged by the mention of checks for voting.

Last week, in testimony to the President’s Advisory Commission on Election Integrity, I suggested using the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) to screen for ineligible voters.

Court paperwork filed Tuesday said an armed good Samaritan stopped an attack on a runner on a popular trail near Rainey Street last week.

Bloomberg’s Everytown announces initially spending of $1 million on Virginia state races this year

In 2015, Bloomberg spent $2 million just on two state Senate races to flip the control of the Virginia state Senate.  The announcement of a new $1 million only includes initial money directly from Everytown and not the side donations that Bloomberg makes directly to Democrats.  One has to be very careful not to automatically assume that just because Bloomberg has previously not gotten a lot of return to his money that he will be in the same position this time.  …
