Hillary Clinton supporting bans on concealed carry

Hillary Clinton has previously spoken out on restricting people being able to carry permitted concealed handguns on May 6, 2014:

“We’re way out of balance. I think that we’ve got to reign in what has become an almost article of faith that anybody can have a gun anywhere, anytime. And I don’t believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people. . . . carrying guns in public places. . . . Look at the types of things that have caused people who are carrying guns in public places to respond.  Loud music from a bunch of kids, someone knocking on your door seeking help, . . .”

This past week Hillary indicated that she didn’t think that people should be able to have permitted concealed handguns in cars or buildings.

Hartford, Connecticut rally on Thursday, April 21, 2016

Audience member: ‘We need you to be able to use your executive powers, to legislate that you can’t carry guns in cars. You can’t bring guns in buildings that are not assured to carry them. We need executive polices to say that we will fight for life and not kowtow to this — to the sons and daughters of Charlton Heston. We can’t kowtow to sons and daughters of Charlton Heston. We must have a greater voice. Thank you for coming. And I’ll elect you —- vote.”
Hillary Clinton: “Wow. Let the congregation say, amen.”

From an event in Maryland on Thursday, April 21, 2016.  If Hillary Clinton really believes that the Heller and  McDonald decisions were inconsistent with other decisions and that on the next gun case the Supreme Court “can make a definitive ruling,” the only interpretation is that Clinton wants to overturn the Heller and  McDonald decisions.

Chelsea Clinton: “It matters to me that my mom also recognizes the role the Supreme Court has when it comes to gun control. With Justice Scalia on the bench, one of the few areas where the Court actually had an inconsistent record relates to gun control. Sometimes the Court upheld local and state gun control measures as being compliant with the Second Amendment and sometimes the Court struck them down. So if you listen to Moms Demand Action and The Brady Campaign major efforts pushing for smart, sensible and enforceable gun control across our country (disclosure they have endorsed my mom). They say they believe that the next time the court rules on gun control can make a definitive ruling. So it matters to me that my mom is the only person running for president who not only constantly makes that connection but also has a strong record on gun control and standing up to the NRA.”

Chelsea, please read some of John Lott’s web pages and article. And it’s not good enough to say that his facts are wrong. You have to give the where’s, etc.

When when Hillary give up her body guards. We’re way out of balance with body guards. Why shouldn’t I have the right to protect myself. Is Hillary so much more important to all other Americans? She is a complete hypocrit.

If they change a law, it must apply to everyone. I’ll give mine up when she and her bodyguards give up theirs. She is no more important than any other person – why should she be able to employ bodyguards when we cannot?

SUPPRESSION OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT WILL BE BEATEN BACK AT EVERY TURN. THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

There are too many unstable people carrying guns. Even many otherwise stable people have made errors in judgment with fatal consequences.
