President of Crime Prevention Research Center, Dr. Lott, discusses mass shootings in the United States compared to those in Europe with host Steve Gruber. Dr. Lott explains that the mass shootings in Europe do not receive the amount of coverage as those which occur in the U.S. When the U.S. has a mass shooting, the media covers it for weeks and sometimes months while those shootings which occur in Europe are covered here in the U.S. briefly in comparison. Media contributes a great deal in influencing the public and opinions that the United States has more of these incidents.
