Idaho moves to complete Constitutional Carry

On Thursday March 24, 2016, Idaho Governor Butch Otter signed Constitutional Carry into law in Idaho.  Idaho had previously only required a permit within city limits, and this bill eliminates that requirement.  The bill had been passed by veto proof margins in both the state House (54-15) and Senate (27-8).  There are now 10 states that don’t require a permit to carry anywhere in their states and Montana, which has the old Idaho regulation requiring permits within city limits.  …

NEW CPRC Report: Much less than 0.039% of guns sold by Federally Licensed Dealers stolen last year — a rate less than 1/30th the rate of theft for retail industry

A new report from the BATF points out that Federally Licensed Gun Dealers had 6,163 firearms stolen from them in 2015.  With the Obama administration finalizing a new rule to enhance dealer reporting of stolen or lost firearms, this BATF report allows us to investigate the size of the current stolen or lost firearm problem for dealers and to compare those rates to other retail outlets.  …

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) — Residents on the east side of St. Paul say they’re fed up with crime and they point to Monday’s assault of a neighbor as the last straw.

The neighbor, 32-year-old Bruce Chang, bears the ugly facial wounds that nearly cost him his left eye. He was attacked by a group of young men who were gambling on his driveway, blocking his access as he returned home from work.
