3) In the aggregate, yes, the police have a huge impact on crime – after the fact. Concealed carry is about personal protection and deterrence. Although, implementation of CC laws strongly correlates with a drop in crime.

Also, it is often very effective in reducing lag time between the punishment and the crime.

I’d hate to reverse the 20-year decline in criminal homicides and accidental shootings.
