President Obama explains to Parisians that Mass Public Shootings occur only in the United States

Dec 1, 2015 | Featured

“… obviously, my heart goes out to the families of those impacted. I mean, Nancy, I say this every time we’ve got one of these mass shootings. This just doesn’t happen in other countries. You know, we are rightly determined to prevent terrorist attacks wherever they occur, whether in the United States or with friends and allies like France. And we devote enormous resources and properly so, to rooting out networks and debilitating organizations like ISIL and maintaining the intelligence and improving the information sharing that can identify those who would try to kill innocent people. And yet — in the United States we have the power to do more to prevent what is just a regular process of gun homicides. That is unequalled by multiples of five, six, ten. And I think the American people understand that.

So my hope is, is that once again, this spurs a conversation and action, and I will continue to present those things that I can do administratively but at the end of the day, Congress, states, local governments, are going to have to act in order to make sure that we’re preventing people who’re deranged or have violent tendencies from getting weapons that can magnify the damage that they do.”

Yet, even ignoring Paris’ horrible attacks this year in November and in January at Charlie Hebdo, the data doesn’t back up what the president claims (see the discussion available here).  Possibly what President Obama doesn’t want to acknowledge is that these attacks are occurring in countries with strict gun control — in fact, these countries have all the gun control that Obama is pushing.

“even ignoring the horrible attacks in November and in January at Charlie Hebdo in Paris”

These incidents shouldn’t be ingnored. When Chattanooga attack happened, the gun control advocates immediately called it “another mass public shooting”. They do not ignore anything.

Facts don’t exist in either obama’s or the liberals’ world! I believe this is mainly because facts don’t support their agenda! The law-abiding gun owner must continue to be heard or a war will be forced on them! Speak up, vote, & encourage others to do the same! Because Clinton is of the same mindset, if not worse!

Obama is simply wrong, perhaps ignorant, perhaps lying… Neither is excusable.

Thanks for pointing out his problems with the facts.

Its a case of early senility!

Nonsense. The nature of these occurrences in US and most other countries are different. In France we got terrorists defending political/ideological agendas, while in the US we have kids shooting around for no reason.
