New survey on the views of academic economists who research guns

The CPRC is releasing a new survey entitled: “Economists’ views on guns: Crime, suicides, and right-to-carry concealed handgun laws” (shorter published version is available here).  The survey of economists conducted from August 25th to September 12th 2014 found interesting results including:

    You’ll notice that for this article, the method of selecting the people to survey were NOT shared. Makes all the difference.

    Dear Linda:
    If you download the report, you will in fact see that there is an extensive discussion on how the sample was created. All peer-reviewed empirical economics journal papers on firearms over 15 years were compiled. Those authors were then given the survey.
